The Khala Lisan Lovas Scholarship Fund was established in 2020 to support deserving African American students on their journey to adulthood. Located in Cleveland, Ohio, our foundation focuses on nurturing academic excellence and community leadership among high school students through annual scholarship awards. We believe in the transformative power of education and strive to empower each student scholar to reach their full potential.
Through strategic partnerships with schools, educators, and local organizations, we provide opportunities to help students thrive academically and positively impact their communities.
We strive to empower students in Cleveland, Ohio who embody the spirit of hard work, resilience, and determination to achieve academic success, leadership skills, and personal growth, ensuring each recipient is prepared to make a positive impact on their community and beyond.
In the first five years the Khala Lisan Lovas Scholarship Fund has awarded nearly $20,000 in cash scholarship awards to scholars with high academic achievement, leadership skills, and community engagement to propel positive change for our communities. We hope to cultivate a generation of leaders poised to make meaningful contributions to society.

The Khala Lisan Lovas Scholarship Fund was established in 2020 to commemorate the life and legacy of Khala Lovas, a single mother, scholar, and fighter who battled Multiple Sclerosis with unwavering courage until 2018. Khala’s life continues to inspire us to recognize African American Scholars on their journey to adulthood. Located in Cleveland, Ohio our foundation focuses on nurturing academic excellence and community leadership through annual scholarship awards. We hope you will support us in honoring Khala’s memory and expand our impact to reach more students each year.
